Dear Reader,

We’ve hit the middle of the week, and the market’s rhythm is settling into focus.

Wednesday often brings the clearest picture of which stocks have genuine momentum versus those just riding Monday’s initial wave.

Three small cap Nasdaq names are standing out in this morning’s pre-market session:

* Valion Bio, Inc. (Nasdaq: VBIO) – advancing 21.6% in early trading

* Connect Biopharma Holdings Limited (Nasdaq: CNTB) – rising 87.5% on solid volume

* Freight Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: FRGT) – gaining 71.9% ahead of the open.

A lot of names show up in the pre-market scan every morning. Most of them are noise. These three are drawing enough early volume to be worth a closer look, and that’s the whole point of doing this before the bell instead of after.

Have all three on your screen when it opens.

Two names from this morning’s list finished the day above where we flagged them.

BKYI was at $2.86 when the watchlist went out and spiked all the way to $4.66 just after 10:00 a.m., a 62.9% move for anyone who caught the top. It gave most of that back through the session but still closed at $3.12, up 9.1%.

KNDI ran from $0.77 to a high of $0.89 just before noon, good for 15.6%. It settled at $0.81, up 5.2% on the day.

The bigger windows came early on both…and that’s been the pattern lately.

Let’s keep a close eye on two names from this morning’s list heading into the afternoon.

BKYI was at $2.86 when the watchlist went out and spiked to $4.66 just after 10:00 a.m., a 62.9% move. It has come back in since but is still holding $3.19, up 11.5% from where we flagged it.

KNDI has been the steadier of the two. It went from $0.77 to a high of $0.87 and is sitting at $0.85 right now, still up 10.4%.

Both are above our list price with the afternoon ahead. Keep them on your screen.

CLRO gave traders something to work with at both ends of the session.

It ran to $6.00 before 10:00 a.m. after opening the morning at $5.60 on our list. Then it faded through midday, hitting a low of $4.23 just after 1:00 p.m. before turning and climbing all the way back to $5.39 later in the afternoon. That’s a 27.4% swing off the low for anyone who caught the turn. It settled at $5.10 into the close.

Volatile in both directions. That’s the nature of these names, and it’s why the exits matter as much as the entries.

APUS was at $6.20 when this morning’s list went out and jumped to $9.14 just before 10:00 a.m., a 47.4% move. It gave back some of that but still closed at $7.20, up 16.1%.

WHLR ran from $4.72 to a high of $5.44 for 15.3% and finished at $5.20, up 10.2% on the day.

A good way to close out the week.
