TCRT was the story today, and it kept going well past our midday note.

The stock was at $1.77 when this morning’s list went out. It ran to $4.31 just after noon, up 143.5%, and it held on to a lot of that, closing at $3.03. That’s a 71% gain on the day for anyone who stayed with it.

BKYI and FCHL both gave us early windows, 13.2% and 32% respectively, but neither came back for a second run in the afternoon.

All three of the stocks from this morning’s list are working, and one of them is carrying the day.

TCRT was at $1.77 on our list and has climbed to $3.12, a 76.3% run. It’s trading at $2.60 right now, which still leaves it 46.9% ahead. That’s the one to keep front and center this afternoon.

FCHL went from $1.28 to $1.69 just after 10:00, up 32%.

BKYI moved from $3.80 to $4.30 before 10:00, a 13.2% gain. Three for three before noon. Stay with all of them through the close.

Monday’s list did its job. MNDR ran 119.8% from the open before settling in to close up 17.8%, and YMAT went 72% at its high and finished up 11.5%. Both peaked before lunch.

Three names cleared this morning’s scan:

* Fitness Champs Holdings Limited (Nasdaq: FCHL) – advancing 43.0% in early trading

* Alaunos Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: TCRT) – rising 80.9% on solid volume

* BIO-key International, Inc. (Nasdaq: BKYI) – gaining 138.3% ahead of the open.

Yesterday the highs came early. Last Wednesday SXTC didn’t make its real move until the afternoon.

There’s no pattern to count on, which is why these are worth watching from the bell through the close rather than for the first hour.

Two of the stocks on our watchlist this morning more than earned their spot.

MNDR opened at $2.58 and ran to $5.67, up 119.8%. It gave back a good deal of that through the afternoon but still closed at $3.04, up 17.8% on the day.

YMAT opened at $2.61 and hit $4.49 around 11:00, a 72% move. It finished at $2.91, up 11.5%.

Both peaked before lunch and both closed green…and that’s not a bad way to open the week.

Two names from this morning’s list have put up big numbers.

MNDR opened at $2.58 and climbed all the way to $5.67, a 119.8% run. It’s come in to $4.33 but that still has it 67.8% above the open, which is a lot to hold onto this far into the session.

YMAT opened at $2.61 and spiked to $4.49 around 11:00, up 72%. It’s back near its opening level now.

Both are worth staying with. Last Wednesday SXTC dipped under its open before going on a 288% tear in the afternoon, so a pullback at midday doesn’t tell you much.

Both names gave traders a real window today, and both of those windows came before the afternoon got going.

VEEA climbed from $5.57 on our list to $7.09 just after noon, a 27.3% move. It gave most of that back by the close but still finished slightly green at $5.70.

OFAL ran from $0.52 to $0.746 just before noon, up 43.5%.

Two solid runs, neither of which held through the bell. That’s the argument for having a number in mind before you get in rather than deciding on the fly.

Both names are working today, and both are still well ahead of where we flagged them.

VEEA went from $5.57 on our list to $7.01 just before noon, a 25.9% run. It’s at $6.74 now, so it’s holding most of that. The buying has looked steady rather than spiky.

OFAL moved earlier and harder. It ran from $0.52 to $0.746 just before 10:00, up 43.5%, and has eased back to $0.61. Still 17.3% ahead.

Both above our list price with a full afternoon to go. Keep them up.

Thursday was rough for the Nasdaq as a whole, but Friday brings one more chance to close the week on a high note. Small caps don’t always follow the indices, which is what makes mornings like this worth a look.

Three small cap Nasdaq names are showing early resilience in this morning’s pre-market:

* XORTX Therapeutics Inc. (Nasdaq: XTRX) – up 21.9% as the week winds down

* OFA Group (Nasdaq: OFAL) – rising 31.2% ahead of the weekend

* And Veea Inc. (Nasdaq: VEEA), which delivered for us last week – is gaining 42.4% on solid early activity. 

Yesterday the only window came before 10:00. Wednesday the big move didn’t show up until the afternoon. Stay with all three the whole session.
